HealingYards Herbarium is a collection born out of countless journeys to discover ancient medicinal textile traditions of India, which uses medicinal roots and plants for mordanting and dyeing. An enlightened community of weavers and dyers based near the famed Agasthyamala (an UNESCO Biosphere Reserve) guides Anne George in the ongoing research of HealingYards Herbarium collection. Born out of a desire for colorful adornments, this craft was perfected through centuries by indigenous peoples of the forests. These fabrics enable a state of natural wellness due to the simple fact that it is completely derived from natural sources.
